The mission of the project is to add an expansion onto the Smith House, originally designed by Richard Meier in 1950. You are expected to keep the original design of the house and adapt it into the expansion.

Jacob and Julie Jenkins just hit the lotto and are looking to be spontaneous. They’ve decided to buy the Smith House and make it their new home. They love the open concept and the water view but they need a few changes done to the house. Their priority is to have a bigger family room, a movie theater, and an observatory. They plan on making a bigger family so an extra bedroom is wanted if there is room. They currently have a son named Jared who loves the outdoors. The Jenkins wants to support Jared’s love for the outdoors, so they want balconies wherever they can get them.
